Aloha,
Great program. I followed your steps for 'Changing the default sorting order' but I hoped for something else. Can the contacts list be initially sorted by last name, a to z instead of contact_id ascending or descending?

Yes, that's exactly what the default sorting order is meant for. Please use last_name ASC.
