This is a general error generated by your web server. Most likely there isn't anything you can do on the script side. You should ask your website administrator to investigate it. Many things can cause 500 so it's not easy to give you hints but here are some possible causes. If you have never run any scripts on your website, then I suspect the web server wasn't configured properly. If you are running the script inside the folder of a CMS, the .htaccess file of the CMS may be blocking the script. And recently, I sometimes encounter a situation that a security program is creating false alarms.
