In the picture, the URL starts with "file:///" It means that you didn't open the web page through a web server. Please put the script in a web server's document directory and open it with an URL like "http://..."

Thanks for the tutorial and the cool script.
But I am having a problem, the demo.html is not functioning as required. The number of likes and dislikes is not showing nor is it incrementing the values in the text file.
Any help will be appreciated. I am attaching a screenshot for further clarification.
